How Our Network Works
Request an estimate
Who You Talk To
You talk to an independent HVAC provider in our network. It is a local business, not Silentchart Heating & Air. The provider diagnoses the problem, gives a quote and does the work if you hire them.
What Happens Next
1. Send your request. Share your name, address area and a short description of the problem. 2. Get a follow-up. A provider that serves your area reaches out. Timing varies by provider and season. 3. Explain the situation. Mention the age of the home, past repairs and any odd noises or smells. 4. Review the quote. Take your time. Compare it with others if you like. 5. Decide. You choose whether to move forward.

What to Ask a Provider
Keep this list handy:
- Are you licensed and insured in my area?
- What exactly is wrong, and how do you know?
- Is the quote written and itemized?
- What could change the price once work begins?
- Will you check the ducts and older parts of the system?
- Is there a warranty on parts and labor, and what does it cover?
- Will you help document the damage if I file an insurance claim?
Prices vary by job. Typical U.S. repair costs can range from under a few hundred dollars to several thousand for major parts, and replacement is higher. A written quote is the only number that counts.
Special Notes for Older Homes
Check the old stuff. Older houses may have worn ducts, patched wiring or past repairs that nobody documented. Ask the provider to point out anything unexpected before work starts. Safety comes first: if you smell gas, leave the home and contact your gas utility or emergency services.
You Are in Control
Requesting an estimate does not commit you to anything. You can say no, ask for changes or get a second opinion. Get it in writing before you agree.
